An interview with Jay Wilson at Gamescom revelead a few pieces of information:

-Only the first 2 ranks of runes unlock at normal difficulty.
-Hardcore mode will be in, they probably wont do leader boards.
-Players can put down a banner to help form a party and have them teleport to it.
-You can unlock colors, crests, and special and new banners.
-You can save banners and switch between them.
-Hoping for a 2011 release.
